Vince Zampella, Has Died in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision
The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in California aged 55.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.
The renowned video game developer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's family, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," an official with Electronic Arts stated.
