The Streaming Giant Selects Ideal Performer for Bentham in the Hit Series Third Season
The Secret Organization is geared up to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the major clash isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has now been chosen.
The platform declared Tuesday that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Mr. 2. This character possesses the power to morph into an exact copy of any individual they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will play a version of that role reimagined as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag performer, in the live-action show, differing from the source material and cartoon version.
This performer joins several other new cast members who will portray the group to reality, featuring head Sir Crocodile, brought to life by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the lineup as the ruler of Alabasta.
Although this character is a important part of the group, the persona will be introduced in One Piece season 3. With season 2 set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this represents a major departure in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could signal further changes to the story’s structure.
Their mix of precise humor and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the part. Along with their recent voice performance in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.
Netflix's live-action One Piece program is set to return for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
