Soccer Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

Arsenal's ten-match winning streak was ended by Sunderland before the international hiatus, however will the Premier League frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of special visitors.

For week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' latest record, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Life

Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of several charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity game the other evening for a mate of mine," he explained. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his wife his partner have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday football side," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this fixture will be quite tight, though. Burnley are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's only on the road victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno was previously Forest manager.

So, what on earth do I go with here - will it be the Hammers extending their run under their manager, or the home side responding?

I will choose Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season started, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four matches.

My son told me to select Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably score again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much success on the road this season, and Brighton are always strong at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many scores but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

Fulham have got plenty of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not witnessed anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of October.

However I am not going to do that. Rather, I really need to continue going against the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their good results because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's home form, the sole team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely eager for a good result, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are doing well and also that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
